The Title for 54th Biennale Exhibition is ILLUMInations.

The title chosen by Bice Curiger, the Director of the 54th International Art Exhibition,  for the 54th International Art Exhibition is ILLUMInations.Bice Curiger explains:
«La Biennale is one of the world’s most important forums for the dissemination and “illumination” about the current developments in international art. The work of Venetian painter Tintoretto will play a prominent role in ILLUMInations."

Venice Biennale traditionally have each country's Pavilions and this way of exhibition is sometimes considered to be outdated. It is quite interesting that Cruiger wants to "illuminate" "nations" particularly in the current of globalization.
